Yurigahama beach in Yoron. People usually pay 2000 yen for a boat to get to this island - we (stingy) two people just swam for half an hour!! Posted by Picasa

It has been a long time...

I can't believe that over a month has passed since my last post - and here is my new one!
I did many things this past month and was very busy... excuse, excuse... . but I guess I am just lazy.
I went camping in Tokushima for four days at the end of July, climbed Mt. Tsurugisan - the second highest mountain in Shikoku, had a celebration for my pretty nephew Yamato etc ... and the best thing was a ten-days trip to Amami and Yoron island during my summer holidays. It was a pity to see some dead coral reef but still enjoyed my first snorkeling - back of my body got tanned so much. I have never thought I could be an outdoor girl but now, I kinda like my brown skin!

Such a picturesque moment in Amami. The most beautiful
sunset I have ever seen. Posted by Picasa

A cute statue -wee wee! Posted by Picasa

Tokushima's famous Kazura bridge. 500 yen to just cross - rip off!! Posted by Picasa

It was a perfect day for mountain climbing. Posted by Picasa

This 15 minutes chair lift ride was so much fun and then, 50 minutes hell time of climbing... Posted by Picasa

There was a rescue by helicopter on that day, which was like a movie. Posted by Picasa

A beautiful view from halfway up the mountain.
Watch out, Mr. DJ :D! Posted by Picasa

I almost gave up climbing but many other climbers cheered me up
"You are almost there, gambatte!" . I am so glad I made it to the top
to get this view.
